There is a potential risk of transmitting COVID – 19 from patient to dentist or vice-versa as dentists work in mouth and near nose area. However this risk can be minimized by adopting best practices and engineering measures. We at Goel Dental continues to adopt these best measures to reduce this risk so all our customers can stay assured and there is no added risk of acquiring COVID infection along with dental treatment.Some of these measures that we adopt are:-
- Staggered appointments are given to minimize patient waiting in the reception area.
- Teleconsultation is promoted wherever patient is not in immediate need of treatment.
- All patients are requested not to bring attendants, except in the case of children.
- No belongings of the patient are allowed inside the operatory.
- Each patient is given a hand sanitization, head cover and shoe cover.
- Operatory area is disinfected with Sodium Hypochlorite after each patient’s procedure is completed.
- Maximum use of disposable items is done. Disposable sleeves are used for RVG and OPG xray.
- We are a NABH accredited dental clinic and all the standard infection control practices are routinely followed.
- New set of sterilized instruments is used for each patient.
- Extraoral(high volume vacuum) suction machine is used along with all the procedures.
- Rubber dam is used wherever applicable, it is a means to isolate the tooth that required the treatment and rest of the oral cavity is sealed.
- We are one of the few clinics that can deliver same appointment root canal, crowns and bridge. We have in-clinic facility of Xray, Full mouth Xray further limiting number of appointments.
- Facility of contact less payment is made available.
- Facility of digital prescriptions is made available.
- All the clinic staff has been vaccinated as per GoI recommendations.
- All the clinic staff is routinely checked for any symptoms like fever, sore throat etc.
- All the clinic staff uses N 95 mask and follow strict hand hygiene.
